Check Your Life Insurance

Life insurance is very important. Even if you are a stay at home parent! Keeping life insurance insures that if something were to happen to you, your dependents will be able to continue living the lifestyle they enjoy right now. You should have at least 2 times your salary. If you don’t work you need to determine what “salary” you actually make by staying home - just add up all of the expenses your spouse would have to pay if you weren’t around, such as child care, after school care, cleaning services, etc. then multiply by two.

Also remember the expenses of a funeral, today’s average cost is now over $5000, so add those expenses into the amount of life insurance you need. If you need to buy life insurance or increase the amount you have, check with your employer as they usually have the lowest rates, then get a quote from your bank and from our online service here, and visit our Life Insurance section for informative articles on your life insurance choices: http://www.momsbudget.com/insurance/
